"On (Thursday, October 10, 2024), on the unexpected extra holiday for the citizens of Bangladesh, we shared a meal with the street children at the Airport Railway Station. I quickly became friends with a boy named Morsalin. I asked someone who looked a bit older, probably in his 20s, 'Will you eat too? I mean, you're not a child.' He felt very embarrassed, which wasn't my intention. As we ate, our eyes met across the table. It was clear he had been using drugs for a long time. His body was covered in dirt, and who knows when he last had a bath. He looked tired and hungry, but beyond all that, the satisfaction on his face while eating didn’t escape my notice—it was filled with a certain tenderness. It didn’t escape my notice either when, inside the railway station, I saw how, as soon as a train arrived, one friend immediately carried another friend whose leg had been cut by the train onto the train. Mojar School has achieved many significant milestones within its means over the past 12 years, and there are many stories of change. But still, it feels like so much more remains to be done. We have a long way to go, and we must keep trying—there’s no stopping now.""Yesterday (Thursday, October 10, 2024), on the unexpected extra holiday for the citizens of Bangladesh, we shared a meal with the street children at the Airport Railway Station.
