A passionate development professional and visionary leader, Arian Arif has dedicated more than 13 years to advancing children’s rights, youth empowerment, sustainability, and social justice. As Mojar School enters its 14th year, his work continues to focus on creating long-term, systemic change for underprivileged children and youth across Bangladesh.

His journey began in 2013 with the establishment of Mojar School, a non-profit organization committed to providing free, quality education to children from marginalized and excluded communities. Mojar School follows a unique integrated education model that combines formal National Curriculum (NCTB) education with non-formal learning, technical skill development, life skills, and awareness programs. This inclusive approach enables children—many of whom were previously outside the formal education system—to reintegrate into learning pathways and pursue sustainable futures.

Over the past 13 years, Mojar School has grown into a nationwide initiative, currently serving more than 2,300 regular students across 23 branches, supported by an active volunteer network of 7,000+ volunteers across all divisions of Bangladesh. Thousands of children and youth have directly benefited from education, nutrition, mentoring, and youth leadership programs under Arif’s leadership.

Beyond education, Odommo Bangladesh Initiatives address critical challenges related to child rights, youth development, gender equality, and sustainability. Arif’s work emphasizes the intersection of education, economic empowerment, and social justice, ensuring that vulnerable children and youth gain access not only to learning but also to dignified livelihoods and leadership opportunities.

Arian Arif is also an active advocate for child and youth rights, engaging in policy dialogue, awareness campaigns, and national and international forums to amplify the voices of marginalized children. Under his leadership, Odommo Bangladesh has adopted sustainable funding models, including CSR partnerships, zakat-based programs, individual giving, and social enterprises, enabling long-term operational stability and scalable impact.

Internationally, Arif champions collaboration aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality)—and continues to mentor young development professionals committed to ethical, impact-driven social change.

As Mojar School steps into its 14th year, Arian Arif remains committed to his long-term vision of a Bangladesh free from street children, where every child has access to education, dignity, and opportunity. Through Mojar School and Odommo Bangladesh, his leadership continues to inspire collective action toward a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future.

SDG × Mojar School

How Mojar School Contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations has identified 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a global framework to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030.

Through its integrated education, nutrition, youth development, and sustainability-focused programs, Mojar School (an initiative of Odommo Bangladesh) directly and indirectly contributes to 8 out of the 17 SDGs, representing nearly 47% of the global SDG framework.

At the heart of Mojar School’s approach is the belief that quality education is the strongest catalyst for long-term social transformation. By placing education at the center, Mojar School creates a ripple effect across multiple development goals—addressing poverty, hunger, inequality, gender disparity, and youth unemployment simultaneously.
