Arian Arif's 10 KG Weight Loss Journey: From 97.3 KG to 87.2 KG

My 10 KG Weight Loss Journey: From 97.3 KG to 87.2 KG

Today, I achieved my goal of losing 10 KG! It's been an incredible fitness journey, and I couldn't be more thrilled to share my progress with you all.

I began this journey not to become a sprinter but to improve my overall health and fitness. After COVID-19, I realized how important it was to take care of my immunity. Over the past 7-8 years, my weight steadily increased from 66 KG to 97.3 KG. In 2021, I decided to change that by incorporating running, cycling, and swimming into my routine. Despite the initial momentum, I struggled to stay consistent.

In May 2024, everything changed. A lipid profile test revealed alarmingly high parameters, putting my health at serious risk. Realizing that my life depended on it, I committed to a healthier lifestyle. My new routine included office work, book reading, running, and a significant change in my eating habits.

I cut out sugar and beef a few years ago, but from May 26th, I also eliminated oil, rice, and instant foods. My diet now consists of oats, cornflakes, milk, fruits, dates, nuts, and over 3 liters of water daily. A helpful app reminded me to drink water every hour and eat every three hours, restricting my eating window to 9 AM to 6 PM.

July 2024 was a milestone month for me. I completed my first 100 KM in a single month, and today, the results are evident.

Today's Short Note:

This morning, despite heavy rain, I decided to head to Ramna Park in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Each lap around the park is 2.58 KM, and I completed four laps. I achieved nine personal records (PRs) and seven best efforts, breaking my 5K and 10K PRs.

Ramna Park was nearly empty due to the rain, with just a few other runners. I was often the only one. Despite the weather, I thoroughly enjoyed my run.

Today is a monumental day for me. Thank you all for your support and encouragement throughout this journey. Here's to many more miles and milestones ahead! 🌟
