Living in a tent near the Padma River in Bangladesh is an experience that I will never forget - Arian Arif

It was an adventure of a lifetime for me, Arian Arif, and my closest friends Rahat, Tonmoy, and his little brother. We embarked on a 3-day, 2-night journey from Dhaka to Mawa on March 16th, 2023, and returned on March 18th, 2023.

As we arrived in Mawa around 7 pm, the sun had already set. We quickly set up our tent and hammock with an air pillow, sleeping bags, and other necessary items. Afterward, we interacted with the locals, tried the famous local "Fuska" and "Pdma Ilish" with other types of fish and "Local Vorta" before returning to our tent for the night.

At 3:13 am, a storm from the Padma River hit us badly, and our tent was broken with water inside. Nevertheless, we remained calm and tried our best to stay dry. The next day, we had breakfast at a nearby shop before exploring the entire village, eating watermelons from the local bazaar, and enjoying tea.

This adventure was our first time with Tonmoy and his little brother. These people are too close to me, and I am grateful to have shared this experience with them. We read books, took photos, bathed in the Padma River, swam, and attracted the attention of many curious young school-going children.

This type of tour is mainly a mental freshness and stress relief trip for me. It's a low-cost adventure that provides a much-needed break from the hectic city life. After the tour, I felt energized and ready to tackle the day.

Living in a tent near the Padma River in Bangladesh is an experience that I will never forget. The stunning views, the friendly locals, and the refreshing water all contributed to an unforgettable adventure. If you ever get the chance to visit Bangladesh, I highly recommend taking a similar trip to gain a unique perspective of this beautiful country.
